As a special service to our community, the Mar Vista Animal Medical Center offers a low cost vaccine clinic every Sunday between 9 AM and 11 AM. All the usual vaccines are offered plus heartworm testing, fecal testing, feline viral testing (feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus), and dewormings are also done at low cost. Packages are offered for commonly used vaccines (you can see the packages in the price list below).
The lower price is available because of the stream-lined nature of the clinic. You will be filling out your own vaccine certificate which will also serve as your receipt. If you are not a regular client at our hospital, it is helpful if you know what vaccines you need; bring records if you are not sure.
If your pet needs an examination, you will need an appointment with the veterinarian rather than a vaccine clinic visit. Remember, all pets should have an annual check up and geriatric pets should probably have a check up twice a year. You will still receive vaccination clinic prices with your examination on Sunday. If you bring your pet at a time other than 9 AM to 11 AM, you may have to wait, as the technical staff may be busy with other duties at other times. It is only during 9 AM to 11 AM that a technician is specifically assigned to the clinic.
A vaccine clinic price list is shown below.
We have assembled an FAQ on Vaccination which may be viewed here.
Please note:
- Animals with a history of vaccination reactions should probably be seen at times other than clinic as they may need extra attention.
- Animals with aggressive temperaments should probably be vaccinated at another time as there may be a crowd during clinic time. Such patients may require extra care plus a dangerous situation could erupt if the pet feels stressed by the other animals.
